The Upper Shillong circle of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) has demanded that police arrest the culprits involved in the recent assault of a woman from Umlyngka.
On April 20 Batemon Jyrwa was assaulted by unknown miscreants. She was accosted while on her way home from work and is now hospitalised at Dr H Gordon Roberts Hospital in Shillong.
The pressure group said that the authorities should not rest until they arrest the offenders and give them stern punishment.
