A delegation of the Khasi Students Union attended the annual conference and freshers meet of the Mara Students Organisation here yesterday.
The KSU delegation was led by assistant finance secretary Rapborlang Nongrum and assistant organising secretary Pynkmenlang Sanmiet.
Also present was HC Lalmalsawma Zasai, the Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Mara Autonomous District Council in Mizoram. Representatives of the Mizo Students Union and Lai Students Union were also in attendance.
Zasai, the chief guest, stated that he always had a cordial relationship with the KSU and the Khasi community as a whole. He recalled the days when he was president of the NEHU Students Union in 1997 and mentioned that the KSU has always been a close friend, particularly when it came to issues of importance to the North East.
Sanmiet lauded the cordial relationship between the MSO and the KSU and recalled past instances of cooperation and collaboration.
