The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has cited errors in allotment of examination centres to students who will appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), even as there was no mistake in entering the city of choice.
According to the KSU, a complaint was received from many students wherein they had filled up their examination centre choice as Shillong but was changed to Guwahati.
KSU education secretary, Raymond Kharjana said what has also left the students confused is under the ‘Advance Examination City Intimation’, Shillong was shown as the examination centre, while the admit cards shows Guwahati as the centre for the examination.
Kharjana and other leaders flagged the issue with Education Secretary, Ambrose Ch Marak and were assured that he would take up the matter immediately with authorities concerned.
The CUET examination is scheduled on September 1, 2 and 3 and the KSU has urged the department to take up the matter as priority.
