The East Jaiñtia National Council today carried out a procession to commemorate the death anniversary of freedom fighter Kiang Nangbah at Khliehriat.
Other groups that also took part were the Jaintia Students Union, Hynñiewtrep A’chik National Movement.
The procession started at Madan Khliehriat Highest Secondary School and ended at the statue of Kiang Nangbah at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
A separate march was also held in Jowai today evening.
