The Khun Hynñiewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) today staged a sit-in protest to pressurise the government to do away with personal interviews in group B, C, and D government posts in line with the Central Government and 23 other states in the country.
Stating that personal interviews only paves for nepotism, unfair means of employment, and politically motivated, the party leaders said, “We would like to inform the Chief Minister that the personal interviews are not only time-consuming but encourage bias decision, nepotism, and corruption.”
They stressed that personal interview does not only waste the precious time of government officials but waste of public money, thereby affecting the administrative efficiency.
KHNAM said the sit-in demonstration today is being conducted by only members of the central executive committee of the party to make their demands heard and also to press upon the state legislators to raise these important matters either in the Assembly or any other platform convenient so that the goal is achieved.
