The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) today launched its channel dedicated to spread information related to its functions.
The channel available on Youtube, named KHADC News Channel was launched by Chairman of the district council Pynïaid Sing Syiem in the presence of Chief Executive Member Titosstarwell Chyne.
Syiem hoped that the channel would serve as a medium for people to understand about the district council and how the executive committee functions.
He said that the district council is to preserve and safeguard the tribal communities of the state and hence those raising the issue of abolishing the district councils are doing it with vested interest.
