Melquire Batlem Laitphlang, a reporter of the vernacular daily, U Nongsain Hima passed away today after a brief illness. He was 33.
Fondly known as Mel, he was also associated with the Assam based English daily, The Sentinel.
His funeral will be held tomorrow at the cemetery of the Mawkhar Presbyterian Church.
