A student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mawphlang will be among 40 students from across the country selected for a live interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 5th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha on April 1 at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.
Shilla Bishnab, a Class IX student of the school who is excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity said that she is going to discuss how the National Education Policy 2020 will empower students and the society in general besides how this policy is going to pave the way for the New India.
Secretary of the Education Department, Ambrose Ch. Marak expressed optimism that it would be a great moment for the student of Meghalaya to interact with the Prime Minister, while informing that the department is making arrangements for the students and teachers in the state to watch this interaction.
Students, teachers and parents who will get to ask questions to the Prime Minister, have been short-listed on the basis of an online creative writing competition on a bouquet of themes. The competition was organized from December 28, 2021 to February 3, 2022 through MyGov platform. Over 15.7 lakh participants registered this year for the creative writing competition.
The objective of the Pariksha Pe Charcha movement is to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters and to bring together students, parents, teachers and the society to foster an environment where the unique individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged and allowed to express themselves fully.
