Shillong, Oct 25: The Jaiaw Ehrngiew Transport Society (JETS 24X7) marked a significant milestone with the launch of its ambulance and electric scooters. North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum inaugurated the program, praising the society’s initiative.
Nongrum lauded JAIAW ETS for promoting youth self-reliance. He encouraged youth to stand on their own feet, beyond government jobs, emphasizing the need to promote, not demote, youth endeavors. “Educated youth like the ETS have shown that it can be done, and other youth should follow their endeavor,” he said.
“We should see that we don’t remain job seekers but job providers, generating employment for our youth. We’re proud of the JETS 24*7 team, who are from our own state,” Nongrum added. He stressed that this applies to all 60 MLAs, regardless of party affiliation, as their ultimate goal is to bring development and shape the state for the better.
The launch showcases JETS’s commitment to community service and sustainable transportation.
