The Japanese embassy will hold the ‘North East Japan Caravan 2023’ in Shillong with the Japan Foundation (New Delhi) and Indian Council for Cultural Relations on November 17-19 at U Soso Tham Auditorium.
The event will be inaugurated at 3pm on November 17, with the Japanese Ambassador present. Judo and karate demonstrations and workshops will then be held from 3:30pm.
Award-winning anime films will be screened on the opening day (from 5:10pm), on the second day (12 noon and 5:25pm) and on the last day (3:10pm).
Other events include to promote the Japanese language (Nov 18 at 11am and 4:30pm and Nov 19 at 2:15pm), cosplay lecture, performance, workshop and anime quiz (Nov 18 at 2pm) and trying traditional Japanese pastimes like yukata, calligraphy and origami (Nov 18 at 2:45pm and Nov 19 at 1pm).
