Lady Keane College Nodal Centre for Human Rights today observed the International Human Rights Day in the college seminar hall.
The guest speaker for the programme was Prof K. Debbarma, Professor, Department of Political Science, NEHU, Shillong who gave an exposition on the history, nature and the value of human rights.
Debbarma dwelt on the historical development of Human Rights and was able to engage the students on the theme, commenting on the deplorable state when it comes to the realisation of human rights equally for all individuals, especially during the pandemic.
