Adviser to the Chief Minister and Local MLA and MDC, Lambor Malngiang, today inaugurated a 2km internal road at Urmasi-U-Joh village in East Khasi Hills.
The first phase of the project is 1.5km in length. The road was constructed under the
Khasi Hills District, at a function held at the Community Hall, Urmasi – U – Joh. The road was constructed under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund of NABARD for the 2019-2020 financial year.
Malngiang stated the new road will lead to renewed hope among the people, a press release informed.
He also informed that the completion of the road was delayed by two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
