A total of 8820 ml of Indian-made foreign liquor and 4300 ml of illegal cough syrup having Codeine phosphate and Chlorpheniramine maleate were recovered near the Riahjalong jungle along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The recovery was made during a late evening joint operation carried out by police in Dawki and the BSF.
A police statement here said 24 bottles (180 ml) and 12 bottles (375 ml) of the liquor including 43 bottles of 100 ml each of the syrup were recovered.
