A delegation of students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati visited NEHU and organised a road show under the coordination of Dr. Sudip Paul, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering.
IIT, Guwahati is to host the first edition of the North-Eastern Research Conclave (NERC-2022) to boost collaboration between industry and academics in the region.
The conclave will be conducted between May 20-22 in collaboration with the science, technology, and climate change department and the department of education, Government of Assam at the IIT, Guwahati campus.
A series of road shows are being organised by NERC to sensitise the general public about the research in the field of science, technology, and climate change all over North-Eastern region.
The road show saw the participation of students from IIT, Guwahati and included students, research scholars, faculty members, and staffs from various departments of NEHU.
At the end of the road show, the Dean of School of Technology, NEHU, Prof. L. J. Singh, briefed the importance of the road show for the NERC 2022 conclave and also highlighted the impact which would greatly enhance and empower the R&D manifestation across all the NE states.
He also elaborated on the importance of taking part in the conclave and how it would help the researchers and scholars from Meghalaya in learning the benefits of science and technology.
