Shillong, Apr 1: Shillong Lajong held Sreenidi Deccan to a 0-0 draw at the latter’s home ground in Hyderabad in the Indian Football League 2025-26 this evening.
This was the second draw for both sides but the first goalless draw.
The result means that Lajong hold on to first place, based on more goals scored than Sreenidi Deccan. However, Diamond Harbour have a chance to take the lead in the standings when they face Real Kashmir tomorrow.
Lajong coach Birendra Thapa named an unchanged first XI from the win against Gokulam Kerala a few days ago.
This was Lajong’s third away match in a row and Sreenidi’s third straight home game. The game was testy, with five yellow cards in the first 50 minutes, four of which were shown to SLFC players.
Lajong will now travel to Goa to face bottom side Dempo on April 7.
