ICFAI University Meghalaya in collaboration with the ICFAI Business School Case Research Centre, Hyderabad, is organising a three-day workshop on case writing and teaching for faculty members, research scholars, industry practitioners and corporate trainers.
The workshop began today with an inaugural session and the chief guest was adviser on education to the state government, Himalaya M Shangpliang.
Shangpliang spoke on the contributions made by the university in making education accessible to all and the amount of research activities carried out by the university.
He also exhorted ICFAI to start its case study centre in Shillong and urged the faculty members to help the government in understanding the pros and cons of their education policies through the numerous cases that will be written by the faculty. He further stated that such an effort will help the government frame the policies in a more robust and fruitful way.
Shangpliang also released a book entitled “Studies in Multidisciplinarity: Polarity, Axis and Praxis”, edited by Surajit Sen, ICFAI Meghalaya’s Associate Professor cum Controller of Examinations.
Also present at the inaugural session were ICFAI Meghalaya Vice-Chancellor Alicia Gatphoh, university Registrar Indrani B Bhuyan and two resource persons from Hyderabad.
