New executive body members of the East Jaintia Hills unit of the Hynniewtrep Youths Council (HYC) were inducted at Ladrymbai yesterday.
The new senior members are the unit president Preios Pale, vice-presidents Becareful Rymbai and Pass Khaii and general secretary Arky Lamare, among others.
HYC president Roy Kupar Synrem, who administered the oath to the district leaders, stressed the rampant menace of drugs and corruption and the need to eradicate these problems. He also said that corruption has resulted in price inflation that has hit the common man hard.
