The Hynñiewtrep Youths’ Council (HYC) has demanded the Meghalaya Public Service Commission to release the list of selected candidate for the post of typist (ordinary grade) in the Office of the Heads of Department, dated 26 April 2016.
“More than seven years have passed since the advertisement was called for, more than three years since the date of the screening test, almost two years since the speed test was conducted and almost a year since the last notice issued by the commission but till date the recruitment results for the above post have not been declared by the Commission.” HYC president Roy Kupar Synrem in a letter to the MPSC chairman said.
He said that such delay raises doubt on the recruitment process as well as age limit comes into factor for majority of those applicants.
Synrem said that if the commission fails to meet their demand, they will have no option but to agitate and hold a protest against the commission and the state government.
