East Garo Hills police recovered arms and ammunition believed to belong to the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) at Pillongre area of Durama range.
Many such findings of weapons had been recovered in the past which belonged to GNLA, a banned outfit that has more or less lost all of its members.
Police said the recovery was made last night during an operation carried out by the police team in the area, which is about 17 kms from the district headquarter, Williamnagar.
The recoveries were 79 rounds of anti aircraft live ammunition, 175 rounds of 7.7 live ammunition, 10 electrical detonators, one 12 bore double barrel and approximately 250 grams of gelatin.
