A house was gutted in fire at Mawlangwir under South West Khasi Hills on Saturday.
However, no loss of life was reported. The house belonged to one Rilis Marweiñ.
The incident took place around 6:30 pm.
Police and fire tenders reached the spot and put out the fire. While the cause of fire and loss incurred are being ascertained, investigation is also underway.
