Occupancy of beds in hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Meghalaya dropped today to just 67 percent, taking some of the pressure off the health network.
The occupancy rate of Covid-19 beds in Shillong hospitals dropped to 74 percent today. Two hospitals, however, are still full – Nazareth (all 100 beds taken) and Dr H Gordon Roberts (all 56 taken).
There are now 1,116 such beds (138 in intensive care units (ICUs) and 978 oxygen-supported beds) in the state. As of today, 752 are occupied all over Meghalaya. In Shillong the figure is 616 occupied out of 836.
