The India Meteorology Department IMD) today predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Meghalaya during the next three days.
The weather department has also predicted that a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal this week.
According to the IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Meghalaya on April 5, 7 and 8.
Moreover, isolated thunderstorm/lightning activity is also very likely to occur over Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal-Sikkim till April 6.
