The COVID- 19 vaccination drive was held at Khliehriat Community Health Centre (CHC) under East Jaiñtia Hills district today.
The first dose of the vaccine was administered to District Medical and Health Officer, Dr. D. Shylla and Dr E.L Kharmutee, DIO in charge of the district.
Dr. Shylla during her address encouraged all beneficiaries to come forward and take the vaccine to protect themselves from the virus.
Dr Kharmutee said that she felt no side effects urged all the healthcare workers and those on the frontlines to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and to lead by example to help build the confidence in others who will be receiving the vaccine in the near future.
