The Health Department will hold a live press conference on May 1 to tackle questions and issues relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Directorate of Health Services informed today.
The press conference, which will begin at 2 pm, has been necessitated given Meghalaya sudden and rapid increase in coronavirus cases this month. It will be broadcast live on DDK Shillong and local cable channels.
An interaction will be arranged between doctors and members of the public and the panel of experts will also address and clarify on any issues relating to the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
The objective of the conference is to disseminate proper information and awareness on the vaccine, importance of vaccination, Covid Appropriate Behaviours (CAB) and the recent spike of coronavirus infections.
