The Rotary Club Jowai on Saturday felicitated the Health Department and Home Guard and Civil Defence personnel with appreciation and recognition awards.
Rotary Club Jowai showed their appreciation for these two bodies for their services through the Covid-19 pandemic.
The felicitation program was held at the Infinity Conference Hall, Mooralong, in the presence of Jaiñtia Eastern College Principal P Nongtdu and Rotarians.
The club also felicitated District Medical and Health Officer and officer in charge of Nartiang PHC, Dr Pohsnem, DMHO of West Jaiñtia Hills Dr H Uriah and one lab technician.
Speaking on the occasion Nongtdu lauded the Rotary Club Jowai for their contribution to society and urged the club to begin its activities in East Jaiñtia Hills as well.
