Shillong, Aug 19: The Meghalaya High Court has restrained Subhoja Global Private Limited from using the trademark of “Wai Wai”, the noodle product of CG Foods India Private Limited.
In an order issued today, the division bench of Chief Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji and Justice Wanlura Diengdoh also set aside the verdict of the Judge of Commercial Court Shillong which ruled in favour of Subhoja.
It may be noted that CG Foods had moved the court questioning the use of the “Wai Wai” trademark by Subhoja.
CG Foods alleged that the “Wai Wai” trademark was being used under the name “Wok Way” and passing the goods as those of Subhoja.
