Cabinet minister and local MLA Hamletson Dohling has written a letter to the Managing Director of the National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) to expedite the repairing of roads throughout the stretch from Umshyrpi Bridge to 12th Mile, Upper Shillong.
The minister apprised the NHIDCL of the deteriorating road condition due to the wake of incessant rain that lashed the state last month.
Expressing concern over the traffic snarls experienced by the public and daily commuters due to the bad condition of the present road, he urged the NHIDCL to start the repair work at the earliest.
