Governor Satya Pal Malik will miss the annual Republic Day celebration at Polo Ground on account of his contracting Covid-19, it was informed today.
The traditional ‘at home’ function on January 26 at Raj Bhavan has also been cancelled, Commissioner and Secretary Pravin Bakshi said through a press release.
Malik tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday. Both he and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who was confirmed to be positive on Friday, missed the January 21 Meghalaya Day function.
