In a move to bolster healthcare services in the region, Meghalaya Governor Phagu Chauhan donated and flagged off an ambulance to Seva Bharati Meghalaya during a formal handover ceremony at Raj Bhavan here today.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Harish Chandra Chaudhary, along with officers and staff of Raj Bhavan and members of Seva Bharati Meghalaya, a social service organisation that has been working for the past 18 years.
In that time it has expanded its services to all districts of Meghalaya, focusing on healthcare, education, vocational training, as well as cultural and national integration programmes.
