The Garo Students Union (GSU) has constituted its Mallangkona Regional Unit, with Abraham Lincoln N Sangma as its president.
The new unit formed on September 7 will operate under the GSU, Khasi Hills Zone with a commitment to address the specific needs and concerns of students in the Mallangkona area.
“The unit will work towards enhancing student welfare, advocating for educational improvements, and fostering a collaborative environment among students in the Khasi Hills Zone,” zonal president Tengku M Marak said in a press release.
He said the GSU remains dedicated to its mission of advancing student interests and contributing positively to the educational landscape.
The other office bearers of the unit are Niksan N Sangma (Vice – President), Sengjrang A Marak (General secretary), Austin K Sangma (Finance Secretary) and Chedam R Marak (Joint Secretary).
