Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC) has welcome support from the Hynñiewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) in its demand for separate Garoland for the community.
GSMC additional secretary, Bostone M. Sangma in a statement here today also extended its invitation to the Khasi-Jaiñtia Hills based pressure group to take part in the rally.
“GSMC welcome our comrades HITO leaders. Let us pour our motion let us keep it perpetually. Like the proverb say, ‘Plant is firmed, Cheer is increased,’ Unity is strength, let us unite,” he said.
The GSMC and National Federation for New States (NFNS), New Delhi had announced holding a rally on October 29 in Tura to rekindle the demand.
Organisations demanding separate Ladakh, Bundelkhand, Vidarbha, Purvanchal, Harit Pradesh, Gorkhaland, Bodoland, Tripraland, Dimasa, Karbi, Mithila and Vindhya Pradesh states are also likely to join the rally.
