The Department of Family Resource Management, College Community Science, Tura celebrated an awareness programme on the occasion of Green Consumer Day, today.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness on the importance recycling, reusing, and cutting back on waste to protect the Earth’s resources.
Guest Speakers from Bengaluru, Karnataka, PK Selvi, Additional Director, Scientist (E) delivered a lecture on Mission LiFE and Green Credits: Mechanisms for Sustainable Environment and Nagaraja Pani, Programme Manager, Narayana Health, HRD, Health Care Policy deliberated on Green consumerism and Health.
Students of CCS including faculty joined the online sessions. As a part of the programme competition on innovative product development from waste was also organized among the students.
