The Education Cell of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) has urged the State government to lift load shedding in view of the upcoming examinations.
Expressing concern with frequent power cut which has disrupted normal day to day life of the people, the KSU cell in a letter to Power Minister, James Sangma today said that since many students would be appearing in their boards, degree and other examinations the government should resolve the issue at the earliest not to disrupt academic performances of students.
The KSU said that due to the pandemic many institutes and universities have resorted to online and blended mode of examinations and students are ought to appear in their examinations and submit their assignments, projects etc via online mode. “Due to these power cuts, it will prove to be extremely difficult for students to finish off their work in due time,” it added.
