They say that music knows no boundaries and touches every heart and soul, a true reflection of every individual and group alike, especially within our tribal society. We have singers and musicians from the old generation and new alike who continue to perform and showcase their melodic voices and symphonic music.
One such group is the Kids Tarari Choir from Nongstoin of West Khasi hills district which has taken the internet by storm across various social media platforms and it is noteworthy their specialty in choir singing a combination of contemporary and gospel music.
They lost two young singers in 2023 in an unfortunate unforeseen natural disaster but this did not dampen their zeal and spirit to take their group and music to higher levels. The State government which is good in organising festivals should sponsor and invite these young minds to perform and promote them and the State in every facet.
