With the objective to sensitise government officials on the three new criminal codes, the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute, Shillong organised a series of training sessions in North Garo Hills district at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Complex in Resubelpara.
The two day sensitisation programme organised by the Law department, which concluded today saw the active participation of various officials of line department particularly officials of Police, Social Welfare and Medical departments.
The three criminal codes dwelt at the programme were the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, timelines of the digital initiative for the new criminal codes and Bhartiya Saksha Adhiniyam.
Deputy Secretary Law department, Public Prosecutor Sanme K Sangma and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ops) Challang Ch Momin, were the resource persons of the programme.
