The state government today announced a major reshuffling of police officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police and below.
Commandant of the 3rd MLP Battalion at Khliehtyrshi, Jowai, Vivekanand Singh Rathore, has been transferred and posted as SP of the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Shillong.
Nazarius Lamare, SP (VIS) in Shillong has been posted in Jowai as Rathore’s replacement while Hamarbajop Wahlang, Deputy Commandant of the 6th MLP Battalion at Umran has been posted as SP (VIS) Shillong.
SP of the State Crimes Record Bureau (SCRB), Vikash Varma, has been transferred and posted as SP (CM Security). Deputy Commandant of the 3rd MLP Bn at Khliehtyrshi, Jowai, Geffry Waemhok Lyngdoh, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP of East Khasi Hills.
Assistant Commandant of SF 10, Victor N Sangma, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy SP (HQ) of South Garo Hills in Baghmara.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Chokpot, Anthony Ch Momin, was transferred and posted as the Deputy SP (HQ) of East Garo Hills. He and Krison R Marak thus switch roles, with the latter taking over as SDPO of Chokpot.
Deputy SP of the Anti-Infiltration Directorate (AID), Vincent N Sangma, has been posted as the new Deputy SP (HQ) of West Garo Hills. Another AID Deputy SP, Bidhan Bhattacharjee, has been moved as Deputy SP of the CID.
DSP of Eastern West Khasi Hills, Dathmuskhem Nongpluh has been shifted to the 5th MLP Battalion in Samanda, East Garo Hills where he will be Assistant Commandant.
Mawshynrut SDPO, Jeffry W Sooting, has been posted as the Deputy SP of East Khasi Hills while Isaac S Marak has been transferred and posted as Sub-Mawshynrut SDPO.
Assistant Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, Samanda, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar, Miustine R Marak, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBPS, Eastern Range.
