The State government has appointed NPP MLA Gigur Myrthong as adviser to the Chief Minister with perks and facilities under Category “A+” with effect from July 15.
This was informed by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Besides, Myrthong the chief minister already has Thomas Sangma (NPP), Ernest Mawrie (BJP) and Lambor Malngiang (Independent) as his advisers.
The government had in 2020 appointed NPP leader Donkupar War as the political advisor to the chief minister.
Another political advisor is UDP leader Allantry Franklin Dkhar.
