Shillong, Mar 6: The National People’s Party (NPP) today released its second list of five candidates for the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) polls, scheduled on April 10.
The candidates are Jangseng R. Marak (Silkigire), Walbinath Ch Marak (Rongrikimgre), Stevie M. Marak (Boldamgre), Sengko D. Sangma (Raksamgre) and Dormonat Ch Sangma (Naguapara).
NPP state working president Marcuise N Marak said the candidates were selected based on their experience, dedication to public service, and strong winnability among the people.
“The party expresses full confidence that these candidates will uphold the vision and commitment of the National People’s Party towards inclusive development, good governance, and interests of the people of Garo Hills,” he said.
