The Raj Bhavan Shillong hosted a grand celebration on the occasion of the foundation day of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
The event held yesterday was graced by Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar along with officials and representatives from Mizoram Bhavan and Arunachal Bhavan.
A special video screening showcased the rich cultural heritage and historical journey of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. A series of enthralling cultural performances by students from the two states added a vibrant touch to the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor lauded the cultural diversity of the Northeast and emphasised the importance of preserving traditional heritage while embracing progress and development.
The Raj Bhavan extended its best wishes to the people of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh for continued prosperity and progress.
