Former North Tura MLA, Noverfield N Marak, passed away yesterday in Guwahati due to illness.
Marak had represented North Tura constituency from 2013- 2017.
Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker Thomas Amphang Sangma has condoled his demise. He said Marak will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to serve the people.
Dr. Andrew Simons, Commissioner & Secretary has also expressed grief and sorrow on behalf of the Assembly Secretariat. “At this time of bereavement, they have offered their deepest condolences to the family members and pray to the Almighty for bestowing strength to bear this irreparable loss,” a statement said.
