To instill a love for reading and to promote book culture among students, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment organised a book exhibition on July 8-9 in the school library.
The exhibition was open to all students and parents and showcased a wide variety of books, ranging from picture books, subject guides, storybooks, activity workbooks to reference materials.
The event was inaugurated by Deepak Bedi, in-charge principal of the school, in the presence of Krishna Nand Singh, librarian and coordinator of the event. Also present were Prerna Pathak, president of the Readers Club and a student of Class 10, along with all members of the club.
Special invitees included students and staff from PM SHRI KV NEPA at Umiam, who enthusiastically participated in exploring and selecting books during the exhibition.
Children from various classes actively visited the exhibition and were seen selecting books with keen interest. The event not only aimed to promote reading habits but also to encourage students to explore the world beyond textbooks.
