The Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) today forcefully halted the interview process for a teaching job at Laitumkhrah Assamese Secondary School here.
The school was interviewing for the post of Assistant English Teacher but the pressure group halted proceedings after receiving a complaint that the school had not declared the results of the preliminary interview.
Speaking to reporters, a member of the FKJGP said, according to the complaint received, that the school has already conducted the interview for the same post three times since 2018 but never declared the results of these.
Through a Right to Information (RTI) request, it was found that even candidates who had done well in both the written exam and personal interview were not selected by the school management committee, the pressure group claimed.
