A major fire broke out at the Maithan Alloys Limited in the Lower Balian area of Byrnihat Industrial Estate today.
Authorities said that the fire borke out at around 6:10 am due to an oil leakage from a transformer.
Shift in charge of the industry, Bijoy Kumar stated that the fire began from a blast furnace number one and rapidly engulfed a portion of the site.
The incident was reported to the Fire and Emergency services team, who swiftly responded and extinguished the fire.
No casualties or injuries were reported during the incident.
