An FIR was filed here today by a resident after he allegedly became a victim of cyberbullying and false allegations that sought to defame him.
The complainant, Tengsrang Sangma, pointed a finger at one Cherikrang Rangsa Dokgre, a social media handle, which he attributed to a member of the A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM).
A post on social media allegedly defamed Sangma and also named former Chairman of the A’chik National Volunteer Council and one Wilber Marak, who is Sangma’s brother-in-law.
“He (Cherikrang) is an active AHAM member and has often bullied people online through their proxy Facebook posts. His main aim is to play the blame game on others through proxy accounts,” said Sangma in the FIR.
