Filmmakers in the State has welcomed government’s decision to allocate Rs 5 crore for promotion of filmmaking.
Meghalaya Film Makers Association (MefilMA) president Commander Shangpliang said, “This is the first time in the history of the state that the CM during the budget speech announced the budget allocation for promotion of film making in the state and we are very grateful.”
He hoped that the government also formulates the Meghalaya Film Policy and said that the association will continue to promote filmmaking, which will generate more job opportunities for talented youth of the State.
