A major fire broke out at a flour mill in the city past midnight. No casualty was reported.
According to reports, the inferno took place at a flour mill owned by Magic Cook in the Garikhana.
The Fire & Emergency Services team rushed to the spot to douse the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.
An official statement from the Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards said, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was activated at around 2 am to respond to the fire incident.
The SDRF led by commandant, PH Khongsngi and second in command, B. Sahkhar concluded the 10 hour long operation at around 12:40 pm today.
The fire was completely extinguished with all the agencies involved.
