The Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) met new Education Minister, Rakkam Sangma today to remind him of the need to upgrade all adhoc school teachers of lower primary and higher secondary schools to deficit system.
The ad hoc teachers also reminded the minister about their demand for a 5 per cent increment annually and the extension of retirement age from 60 to 65 years.
In the meeting, the education minister has assured to find ways and means to solve the pending demands, the adhoc teachers said.
