The Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills, in a press release, has informed that a sprint campaign from April 24 to May 1 has been initiated by the Indian government to cover remaining farmers under Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari.
All PM-KISAN beneficiaries are requested to approach the bank branch where they have their PM-KISAN account for issue of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to avail the benefit of concessional institutional credit.
PM-KISAN beneficiaries are auto approved for KCC and are required to simply visit the nearest bank branch with documents along with the filled up prescribed one page form for availing the benefit.
Those with existing KCC can seek enhancement of the credit limit, if required. Those with inactive KCC may approach the bank branch for activation and sanction of fresh limit.
KCC benefit has now been extended to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries farmers also and farmers can approach the branch for sanction of additional limits.
All banks have been advised to organize special camps and provide a separate window for accepting KCC applications and to cover all those eligible under social security schemes (PMSBY, PMJJBYAPY).
Beneficiaries under KCC have to provide only a copy of their land record and the crop sown and approach the bank branch from where they are drawing PM-KISAN benefit for issue of KCC to them.
