A workshop on ‘Summer Vegetable Crops: Promoting Kashi series vegetables for nutritional diet and food security in Garo hills’ was held at the College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University in Tura today.
A total of 108 farmers from West Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills districts, including two aspirational villages Jetragre and Sawekolgre attended the workshop.
The farmers were equipped with technical knowledge during the session and were provided with various farming inputs like ICAR-IIVR-Kashi vegetables seeds, Khurpa and CAU-Bioenhancer.
The workshop was organised by the Multi Technology Testing Centre & Vocational Training Centre, College of Community Science with support from ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi.
