A five-day faculty development programme on ‘Productivity Enhancement’ organised by the Department of Environmental Studies, NEHU, Shillong and sponsored by ATAL-AICTE was inaugurated today.
Vice Chancellor and patron of the programme, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla highlighted the importance of effective stress management in a collective manner to enhance group productivity.
He also highlighted the importance of India as the second largest human resource and the potential of productivity enhancement therein. He opined that feedback of the participants should be collated at the end of program.
Prof. Dibyendu Paul, coordinator of the programme drew the attention of participants to the fast pace world and the stresses generated in different spheres of life. He highlighted the importance of stress management in enhancing quality of life in work-place and society.
He hoped that the deliberations of the workshop would help participants to unite the energies of their physical, mental and spiritual self towards efficient stress management.
